Requirements
|
- 14 years or older
- a completed application
- a 100 hour commitment
- accumulation of all 100 hours before documentation for those hours is signed
- attendance at an Adopt A Stray Orientation Session
- $5 fee for Adopt A Stray volunteer T-shirt

Hours
|
Volunteers are needed 3-6 pm and 6pm -9pm Monday through Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Your schedule will be determined by your availability and Adopt A Strays needs at the time. Volunteers are scheduled for a minimum of 3 hours. |
Duties
|
Volunteers are responsible for keeping the cages and the room clean, feeding the cats, providing information to potential adopters and perhaps most importantly petting and playing with the cats. |
Locations
|
Although the majority of Adopt A Stray cats are in foster homes. The Pembroke Pines and Aventura Petsmarts provide temporary housing for a few cats at a time. These are the locations where student volunteer help is needed.
