Gaige's story is quite unique and he had a direct influence in the direction his life took. Gaige was part of a trap-neuter-release (TNR) program at animal services and at 12 weeks old he was trapped. The program ensures that community cats (feral and domesticated) are not killed just because they don't have a home. So in releasing Gaige he was brought back to the place where he was trapped, food was placed down for him and he was released. The man releasing him went back to the van to leave and Gaige was back in it. So he picked him up (obviously not feral) and put him back by the food. Gaige was not being left behind and ran back into the van. This happened several times so the man brought him back to his office.

So a foster or rescue was needed for Gaige and that is how Adopt A Stray became involved. So that is his past now you can hear about his amazing personality. Gaige is outgoing, loves people and cats. He is a polydactyl, having six instead of five fingers. He is very high energy and loves to be high...a tree cat.
