Walker, a Flamepoint Siamese,  appeared one day in May 2013  while an Adopt A Stray volunteer was feeding a colony of cats at a local business park.  He would wait until the other cats ate, and then go get some food for himself.   Since spaying and neutering is always a priority when a new cat is found, Walker was taken to a vet who determined he was already neutered and about a year old.  He was friendly and obviously belonged to someone at some point, but with no microchip or other identifying method, it was impossible to tell.      Since there was no space in a foster home, he was returned to the colony where he was regularly feed.

Recently, however, the volunteer noticed that he was limping and his fur looked dirty.  A trip to the vet discovered that his paws were covered with tar which had burned and irritated his paw pads.  Fortunately, his paws are now looking great and he is pain free and he has found a foster home.

Walker is very handsome.  He has the typical Flamepoint Siamese markings- mostly white with apricot color on his face and rings on his tail. His eyes are a gorgeous light blue.

Walker is an incredibly congenial - laid back cat.  He is easy to handle and loves to get petted and sit on a lap but is also OK by himself.  He adjusts easily to new situations.    He's still young and very athletic.   He loves playing with a feather toy and jumping high into the air doing an occasional flip to catch the feather.   He's smart too, it only took him about 2 hours to figure out how to use the cat door leading to the screened in porch.   It takes most cats days or sometimes weeks to figure it out.

He was introduced to two 5 month old kittens in his foster home and when the kittens hissed and got their tails all fluffy, he just sat there patiently.  Of course, with natural kitten curiosity they soon walked up to him and he sniffed them and then laid down and watched their antics.  He got along equally well with the adult cats in the house.

He is an absolute gem and could easily fit into almost any household.
