Shamushu is a mix of spunk and panache. All streamlined and glossy, an ebony ,short haired, 7 month old neutered male with a small tuft of white hidden away on his lower belly. Handsome and healthy, He is both playful and affectionate. Sham gets along well with the 6 other cats in his foster home and appears to have a disposition that would also do well with a household having dogs,other pets or children.
He was initialy spotted in Pembroke Pines by an Adopt A Stray Volunteer at a feral colony of 30 plus cats just days before Halloween. With many of the colony cats being black he initially blended in with the group. During the feeding stop however, the volunteer's attention was soon drawn to the small black cat pawing frantically on the outside of a glass door at an abandoned building where the colony was located. On closer inspection she realized he was not a regular. Darting back and forth in front of the windows, with heartbreaking cries, and frenetic scratching, he caught her eye and won her heart with his desperate attempts to gain entry to what he could only hope was his home. Most likely the scenerio leading up to her discovery of him was of his having been left at the colony . Many cat rescues happen similarly. Perhaps though, having youthful curiosity and at the time not neutered, Shamushu had gotten out from his owner, became lost and unable to find his way back. With no information on him owners are not easily if ever located.
Having a sweet, easy going disposition, Shamushu transitioned smoothly into his foster home where he was welcomed with open paws by the furry family members. He has since been neutered, vaccinated and is all ready for his new life. Shamushu is an endearing, winsome, charmer, as cuddly as he is spirited. This holiday he eagerly awaits the arrival of a loving forever home family to call his own. Wouldn't that be the best Christmas present ever.
