Extra-Toes Cat (Hemingway Polydactyl) / Russian Blue : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Birthdate: January 2018 As we know it this is Zanders story, he was abandoned when his so-called owners moved away. A neighbor cared for him for about six months, feeding him, playing and loving him. But the outdoors is no place for a cat. He went missing for a couple of days and came back dragging his back leg. We took in Zander to have him neutered, tested and x-rayed. Unfortunately, it appeared that he was hit by a car based on the scrapes and type of injury. The injury was to his hip, the bone was out of the socket and could only be repaired with surgery (6/20/19). He now requires cage rest for 4 to 6 weeks, he is on pain medication. The people who cared for him said he was a wonderful cat, he would play fetch with the dog and love to roll over for belly rubs. So far, he has not shown his true personality, maybe due to pain or being in a strange new environment.
We will continue to have updates on this very handsome extra toed kitty.
